The Scientific Miracles of the Holy Quran The Holy Quran is primarily a book of spiritual guidance, but it also contains numerous verses that point toward scientific facts discovered only in the modern era. 2. The Layers of Complete Darkness The verse also describes the deep sea as having “darknesses, some of them upon others” where a person cannot even see their own hand.

Modern marine biology and oceanography have proven that the ocean consists of different light zones. Sunlight is rapidly absorbed by the water as it travels downwards. Below 200 meters, light becomes incredibly scarce, and below 1,000 meters, the ocean is pitch black. Because human beings cannot dive deeper than 40 meters without specialized equipment, no human in the 7th century could have possibly known about this complete, layered darkness at the bottom of the sea.

The shockingly accurate description of internal waves and deep-sea darkness serves as undeniable proof of the divine origin of the Quran.
